Visit to Brazil
Marcelo Lehninger will conduct two performances in Brazil in May, leading the Brazilian Symphony Orchestra in Brasília, as well as the University of São Paulo Symphony Orchestra at the impressive concert hall Sala São Paulo. Highlights of the programs include Shostakovich’s 5th Symphony (Brasília) and Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition (São Paulo). For the performance in São Paulo on May 19th, Marcelo will have his mother, pianist Sônia Goulart, as soloist for Beethoven’s 4th Piano Concerto. The last time they played together was in Argentina in 2004. More
